Maxwell claims snubbing Sarfraz's handshake was a 'genuine oversight'

Glenn Maxwell sparks Pakistan outrage after handshake snub of Sarfraz Ahmed

Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed and some of his country's fans were left irate after an apparent Glenn Maxwell post-match handshake snub.

But the DD player took to Twitter to clarify the rumours surrounding that incident as he said that the whole scenario was the result of a genuine oversight.

Cricketers Glenn Maxwell and Peter Siddle have both been involved in fiery gestures.

Australian allrounder Maxwell walked past Sarfraz's outstretched hand as the teams shook hands following Pakistan's six-wicket win in the Twenty20 tri-series final in Harare on Sunday.

Australia rebounded from an terrible tour of England to make the final of the triangular tournament only to fall at the last hurdle with Pakistan chasing down Australia's total of 183 with four balls remaining.

He said in the video that it was probably his "last message on earth". "I isolated myself from my family members", Knight said. Former UCLA player Billy Knight has died in Phoenix, the Mericopa County Medical Examiner confirmed.

"Congrats to Pakistan on their win yesterday", his photo tweet read. They then got off to an exceptional start when Maxwell dismissed Sahibzada Farhan and Hussain Talat in the very first over before Fakhar Zaman took the game away from them with a 46-ball 91.

The pair punished the bowling of Ashton Agar and Jack Wildermuth with 16 runs each in consecutive overs midway through the innings to set Pakistan on their way to victory. Their recent humiliation at the hands of their English opponents who ran riot as they won all the matches in the five-match ODI series just showed the impact that incident had on the Aussies.

It wasn't all smooth sailing for Pakistan on Sunday as Zaman lost his opening partner Sahibzada Farhan, who was stumped off a wide on his first ball in worldwide cricket.

Pakistan didn't help themselves with some sloppy fielding, which included dropping Finch on the first ball he faced.
