Michael Cohen Reportedly Telling Friends He Doesn’t Think Trump Will Pardon Him

He reportedly told a friend over the phone that he did not think Trump would use a presidential pardon for him.

Davis will be working with Guy Petrillo, the NY lawyer who was recently hired by Cohen to represent him in an ongoing criminal probe into his business activities in the Southern District of NY, a person familiar with the matter said.

Davis, 72, was a special counsel to President Bill Clinton and regularly appeared on television to defend the Democrat during his 1998 impeachment.

Michael Cohen all but screamed from the rooftops this week that he plans to flip against President Trump and cooperate with federal prosecutors.

"My wife, my daughter and my son have my first loyalty and always will", said Cohen in the off-camera interview reported on "Good Morning America" on Monday. "As an attorney, I have talked to Michael many times in the last two weeks". Davis has joined Guy Petrillo as Cohen's legal counsel. "Then I read his words published on July 2, and I recognized his sincerity".

Manchester United vs. Leicester to kick off new Premier League season
Half of the games will be over a bank holiday period while the other ten will be during the busy festive schedule. Seven of Albion's first 12 Premier League fixtures were screened live last season and 13 in total .

Cohen's home and office were raided by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in April 2018 and documents were removed from his possession.

Prosecutors are investigating Cohen for possible bank and tax fraud, possible campaign law violations linked to a $130,000 payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels, and other matters related to Trump's campaign, a person familiar with the investigation has told Reuters. He later served on President George W. Bush's Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board.

"I brought up the pardon, and he said, 'I don't think so".

Davis stopped short of calling for Trump to be impeached in that interview, saying the standard for impeachment must be very high, such as the president endangering the Constitution or posing a risk to national security. On his website he describes himself as a lawyer, crisis manager, consultant, author, and TV commentator. "You probably don't hire him if your main focus at the moment is preparing for a knock-down-drag-out battle in court".

"Like most of America, I have been following the matter regarding Michael Cohen with great interest", Davis said in a statement to The New York Times.
