Michelle Williams Reveals Mental Health Treatment


Destiny's Child member Michelle Williams has checked herself into a mental health facility to deal with issues of depression.

Sources tell the outlet Williams admitted herself into a facility just outside Los Angeles and has been receiving treatment there for several days.

The 37-year-old singer has been open about her struggle with depression in the past and even revealed on The Talk during the October 18, 2017, show that she was at one time suicidal.

The r&b singer has been struggling with depression for years and is now taking action to benefit her health.

"If you change your mind, you can change your life", she concluded with a heart emoji. "At that age, I didn't know what to call it".

Sending our love and well wishes, Michelle! "I love and support you with all my being". "I love and support you with all my being", Tina wrote.

She also revealed that at one point she contemplated suicide.

Michelle Williams has not been shy about her struggles with her mental health. "What do you have to be depressed about?"

"I felt that intentions were good, and I just kind of want to normalize this conversation..."

As other outlets have pointed out, Williams has been candid in the past about her depression, even revealing past suicidal urges.

"So many people are walking around acting like they've got it all together and they're suffering", she told the hosts.

In her note on Tuesday, Williams said she was happy to "lead by example".
