OnePlus : 5 and 5T now have Treble in a stable manner

OxygenOS Open Betas for the OnePlus 5 and 5T now support Project Treble

Project Treble was announced at Google I/O 2017 and is supposed to help manufacturers push Android updates quickly to their phones. The latest Pixel models, including Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, already included the new development, but OnePlus phones (which also received Android Oreo updates) were now unavailable.

The OxygenOS beta for both smartphones that features support for Project Treble can be downloaded on OnePlus' website. No OnePlus smartphone, up until now, supported Project Treble. As part of the feedback, the company has fixed compatibility issues with most third-party camera-based apps in its OnePlus 5 and 5T.

On the other hand, the new beta build will bring changes to the OxygenOS interface by adding support for accent colours, alongside improvements to the launcher, phone and weather app. The solution will thus shorten the process of updating Android OS which has been slow for several OEMs and will also encourage developers to make custom ROMs for beta testers. But this is not all because the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T can now dispose of it without risk, project Treble.

EPA administrator Scott Pruitt resigns
White House officials had been advising Trump for months to fire Pruitt, according to Bloomberg and The New York Times . Pruitt denied the allegations against him in April and has said little of the swirling scandals since then .

OnePlus, following the release of their new update schedule, has introduced another big announcement as it relates to updates for the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T. In August previous year, Google engineers on an Android Developers Backstage podcast episode confirmed that they are working with OEMs to bring Project Treble to a mass level.

For the new custom accent colour customisation, users on the new Open Beta can head over to Settings Display Customisation and choose the colour you like with the new colour wheel. The former is getting OxygenOS Open Beta 13, while the latter is being upgraded to OxygenOS Open Beta 11. In addition, the update also brings some system optimizations and a revamped user interface. You also get improved search tags in the app drawer along with a new "New Installs" category tag in the app drawer. Also, OnePlus has optimised logic for the contact page in the OnePlus Dialer app. OnePlus has posted the full changelog on its forums. For users running on a stage build, make sure to read the instructions concerned with flashing the update manually before something goes wrong.
