Reese Witherspoon bringing tour Charlotte

Why is Reese Witherspoon coming to Charlotte in September? (Hint: Not for a movie.) | Charlotte Observer

Along with a collage of photos of herself donning a pink blouse and pair of blue jeans, while holding up a teacup, Witherspoon shared her tour dates and also announced that she would have a special guest coming along with her at each stop.

It's set for release September 18, and she'll be in Birmingham two days later to talk about it. I hope you'll see how easy it is for you to bring a little bit of the South to your home, no matter where you live. The book's title is based on a saying of Reese's grandmother Dorthea about how beauty and strength make southern women whiskey in a teacup.

According to AL.com, tickets will be available for purchase Tuesday at 10 a.m. "I'm so excited to travel around the country and meet more strong women and share our stories".

"I am thrilled that Draper James is partnering with Altair Eyewear Inc., a leading expert in optical eyewear, to create a new line of glasses", said Reese Witherspoon, Draper James founder and creative director in a press release.

(Sept. 22); Nashville (Sept. 23); and Waco, Texas (Sept. 27). It's also a celebration of Witherspoon's Southern heritage, covering everything from the practical to whimsical.

Witherspoon has enjoyed a successful career in Hollywood for more than 20 years.

Witherspoon won the Academy Award in for best actress in 2006 for her portrayal of June Carter Cash in the 2005 Johnny Cash biopic "Walk the Line". More recently, she received Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for the HBO series "Big Little Lies." .

The actress, producer and author will stop in the Queen City on her Whiskey in a Teacup book tour.
