Tom Jones cancels gig last minute after falling ill

Tom Jones cancels gig due to ill health

Whilst the Stansted show was cancelled, the Chester performance has been rescheduled for August.

However, a statement has been released by organisers Cuffe and Taylor, saying that Sir Tom had been told not to perform after falling ill.

The Welsh Crooner was due to perform as part of the Summer House Sounds series tonight but has been advised to pull out by his doctors.

A similar thing happened previous year when an unspecified illness was to blame for Tom abruptly canceling his United States tour just five days before it was set to begin.

Jones has a performance scheduled at Chester Racecourse on Thursday, before touring to Germany and Finland. "If you are unable to attend the rescheduled date, refunds will be available at point of purchase".

"Unfortunately, Sir Tom is unwell and has been advised by doctors not to perform".

'We apologise for any inconvenience this causes and we wish Tom well'.

However, in a statement to fans in September, the legendary singer said all U.S. tour dates had been postponed until 2018.
