'Braveheart' Meets 'Game of Thrones' in Chris Pine's 'Outlaw King' Trailer

Angus Macfayden has a rival Robert the Bruce film in the works

Pine is set to star in Outlaw King, the new David MacKenzie film for Netflix about the king of Scotland during their fight for independence from Great Britain.

Check back here on Culturess for more news and updates on Outlaw King as we get closer to the release. Robert the Bruce is in the spotlight this time as he rallies his countrymen to stand up to King Edward I and his brutal occupation.

Here's our first proper look at Outlaw King, which, frankly, looks as attractive as it does violent.so just like Hell Or High Water, then.

Federer sets up finals clash with Djokovic
Keys had lost five straight matches against No. 4 Kerber, but turned to her forehand to rally for a 2-6, 7-6 (3), 6-4 victory. One point away from another loss, she had pulled off her biggest win, one that left her as stunned as everyone else.

"We have an wonderful cast and crew working at the top of their game, and we are really looking forward to spreading some Scottish goodwill on the great city of Toronto".

The Pitch: When Robert the Bruce, the King of Scots, is declared an outlaw by the King of England, the Scotsman declares war on his colonial overlords. Thankfully, Pine's struggles with his accent have not put a damper on his performance (nor on his status as The Best Chris), which looks perfectly soulful and tormented. But director David Mackenzie brings a homegrown touch to this film.

"I serve Brother Bruce!". That's probably why Netflix is giving Outlaw King a limited theatrical release as well, before releasing it worldwide on November 7. Scripted by Mackenzie, Bash Doran, James MacInnes, Mark Bomback, and David Harrower, the film also stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Florence Pugh, Billy Howle, Tony Curran, Stephen Dillane, James Cosmo, and Sam Spruell.
