Dana White Responds To Nate Diaz’s Controversial Tweet

Nate Diaz vs. Dustin Poirier Booked For UFC 230

According to a report from the Los Angeles Times, Diaz will be competing in the co-main event of UFC 230 which takes place at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Nate Diaz reportedly is set to make his UFC return after a two-year absence.

Stockton's Diaz (20-11) has participated in the main event of two of the most lucrative UFC pay-per-view cards in history, first by taking a March 2016 fight against Conor McGregor on less than two weeks' notice to submit him in the second round.

The fight against Poirier in three-months time will be Diaz's first in the lightweight division in almost three years and he will now take on one of the top-ranked contenders in the weight class.

Oil prices decline amid rising U.S. inventories
US President Donald Trump's decision to pull out of an worldwide nuclear deal and reimpose sanctions on Iran has angered Tehran. West Texas Intermediate ( WTI) crude futures were at $68.87 per barrel at 0647 GMT, down 9 cents from their last settlement.

But at the end of the press conference the UFC unveiled a video promoting a blockbuster lightweight title fight between superstar Conor McGregor - with whom Diaz shares a long rivalry - and champion Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 in November.

Louisiana's Poirier (24-5) has risen to No. 3 in the UFC lightweight rankings by winning eight of his last 10 bouts. Diaz is now at +150 points, which means if getting $100, a person would make a $150 profit if Diaz were to win. Poirier walks into MSG with a TKO victory over Eddie Alvarez, in their rematch of a controversial no-contest at UFC 211 in 2017.

A middleweight rematch between former champs Luke Rockhold and Chris Weidman has already been announced for the event, with fellow 185lbers Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza and David Branch also confirmed to be on the card.

The fights will be formally announced Friday at a UFC seasonal news conference at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles.
