Donald Trump revokes security clearance of former Central Intelligence Agency director John Brennan

Trump revokes clearance of former CIA chief Brennan

"I filibustered Brennan's nomination to head the Central Intelligence Agency in 2013, and his behavior in government and out of it demonstrate why he should not be allowed near classified information", Paul said in a statement after Trump announced the move.

Brennan in particular has been a frequent presence on TV slamming Trump.

Brennan has been deeply critical of Trump's conduct, calling his performance at a joint news conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Finland "nothing short of treasonous".

"It should gravely worry all Americans, including intelligence professionals, about the cost of speaking out". My principles are worth far more than clearances. "Won't have any effect on what I say or write".

Hayden seemed to be less unsettled by the revelation, tweeting that he doesn't go back for classified briefings and that such a move wouldn't "have any effect on what I say or write". I think he finally gave Brennan the hook for no better reason than that Brennan shot his mouth off about how awful Trump is one too many times and POTUS chose to pull the trigger. The same apparently is true of Comey, according to his friend Ben Wittes, because he was also fired. Brennan's mentor, ex-CIA Director George Tenet, for example, had powerful Rabbis in President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney, as well as a bizarrely empathetic Establishment media, when Tenet quit in disgrace 2004.

President Trump's announcement that he was stripping Brennan, a vocal critic of Trump, of his clearance was notable not just because it was an admission that the decision had nothing to do with security, but rather Trump's anger at Brennan's criticisms.

So what, who's going to stop him?

The individuals were accused - without details - of politicizing and monetizing their public service and security clearances.

New research on electronic cigarette warns about its deadly effects
E-cigarettes don't proceed tar or carbon monoxide; two of the main toxins in cigarette smoke, said the NHS. But most research has focused on the chemical composition of e-cigarette liquid before it is vaped.

Brennan said he's anxious Trump is sending a message to other former and current officials with security clearances that they shouldn't say critical things about the president.

The White House announced last month that it was reviewing the clearances. Yates served in the Obama administration and had agreed to stay in the job under Trump. "He is spreading erroneous and derogatory information about President Trump without any proof and it does nothing more than harm our nation and our national security".

"Clearances are taken away for security violations, usually after an investigation", McLaughlin said.

Trump wrote Paul a letter of introduction to Putin when Paul traveled last week to Russian Federation. Last December she tweeted, "The FBI is in "tatters"? No". But he's spent 72 years following a rule of "counterpunching" and it's brought him wealth and the presidency.

Rice was national security adviser during Obama's second term and has criticized Trump policies.
