Elderly residents sneak leave nursing home to go to huge metal festival

Two pensioners escape nursing home to attend heavy metal festival

Two elderly men escaped their nursing home Friday to attend the world's largest heavy metal festival, according to a German news report. Now, these are our kinda people and if that isn't goals we're not sure what is.

The metal-loving men were eventually found by police at the festival at 3am.

Because it turns out the pair had ditched the squares at the home and gunned it for Wacken Open Air Festival, about half an hour's drive away.

A police spokesperson remarked, rather nonchalantly, that the men "obviously liked the metal festival" which is a statement that is likely to rank in the higher echelons of the Great Ders of History.

Assassination by drone? Venezuela's President avoids plot to kill
The ANC urges the government of Venezuela to get to the bottom of these attacks and to do everything to arrest this scourge. One of the drones was to explode above the president while the other was to detonate directly in front of him, he added.

Police spokeswoman Merle Neufeld said the pair met police outside the festival at about 3pm.

While it's not known which bands the two men were keen on checking out, it appears that they weren't too happy about being forced to leave the festival grounds, and had to be escorted out with the help of a taxi and police patrol vehicle.

This year's edition of Wacken fest was sold out, with more than 75,000 metal fans flocking to the venue from all across the world.

Famous for its muddy grounds, headliners including Judas Priest, Dimmu Borgir, Nightwish and In Flames as well as Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Gojira and Children of Bodom were included in this year's programme. One thing is for sure, these two elderly gentlemen are GOALS.
