Everton complete triple deal for Mina, Andre Gomes and Bernard

Marco Silva

Everton have signed Yerry Mina, the Barcelona defender, after being given an additional two hours to finalise the signing and taking their summer spending to about £80 million.

He had been heavily linked with a move to Jose Mourinho's Manchester United during their hunt for a centre-back, but instead opted for a switch to Goodison Park.

Everton's season-long loan deal for Portugal's Gomes will see them pay 2.25 million euros and the player's wages.

Everton had a Deadline Day to remember after pulling off the triple capture of Bernard, Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes.

Mina played alongside Digne during his half-season stint at the Catalan club, and like the Frenchman, spent much of his time at the Nou Camp subject to the reserves.

He has been able to confirm the first of those deals with Brazilian playmaker Bernard arriving on a four-year contract on Thursday afternoon.
