Maniac trailer: Emma Stone and Jonah Hill’s new Netflix series is intriguing

Maniac trailer This new Netflix series is set in a pharmaceutical trial

Not a whole lot more than that has been revealed about the series so far, but if the trailer is anything to go by there's going to be mind bending sequences spanning multiple time periods, brains that don't "work right", and actually a bit of light hearted comedy too. Based off of a Norwegian television series of the same name, Maniac follows patients Annie Landsberg (Stone) and Owen Milgrim (Hill) as they attempt to answer one creepy question: "What do you think is wrong with you?"

Hit PLAY on the trailer above, then drop a comment with your thoughts below: Will you be binging Maniac?

The cast also includes Sally Field (Brothers & Sisters), Justin Theroux (The Leftovers) and Jemima Kirke (Girls), as well as Julia Garner (Ozark) and Sonova Mizuno (Ex Machina).

Here's what we do know - or have pieced together - about the series.

Musk Says in Tweet He Is Considering Taking Tesla Private
Musk owns almost 20pc of the company. " Funding secured ", Musk tweeted shortly before 1 p.m. on Tuesday. Tesla's stock spiked Tuesday after Musk made the abrupt announcement in a terse tweet .

The series stars Emma Stone and Jonah Hill, and will be directed by the absolutely fantastic Cary Fukunaga (Beasts of No Nation). Maniac represents Netflix's latest shot at commercial and critical glory, of course, but it's also a reminder of how much influence the company now has in the entertainment world - it can attract all-star productions that would have been unfathomable just a few years ago.

Annie's disaffected and aimless, fixated on broken relationships with her mother and her sister; Owen, the fifth son of wealthy NY industrialists, has struggled his whole life with a disputed diagnosis of schizophrenia.

Given the talent and pedigree attached to the series, Maniac is going to be a must-watch when it's released on Netflix in September.
