Marvel's Iron Fist season 2 trailer: Danny Rand battles Steel Serpent

Marvel and Netflix's most disposable superhero is back for Iron Fist season 2.

There's a lot of history to mine in the Iron Fist mythos, and Season 2 appears to honor that aspect of the comic books. Blaming Danny for K'un-Lun's tragic fate, Davos swears to avenge their lost city, and reignites a sibling rivalry of sorts over the duties linked with wielding the legendary Iron Fist.

The first season of Iron Fist didn't go over so well - at least, not as well as the other Marvel Netflix shows.

With a new showrunner in Raven Metzer and a new fight choreographer in Clayton Barber (Black Panther), I sincerely hope this season kicks things up a notch, because frankly season 1 of Iron Fist was a bit, well, crap.

The move isn't all that surprising considering the fact that the first season of Iron Fist was somewhat poorly received.

Boring Co to dig 'Dugout Loop' for Dodger Stadium
The company is now working on an Environmental Impact Report (EIR), as required by the City of Los Angeles. The Boring Company estimates its so-called Dugout Loop could carry around 250,000 passengers a year.

Season 2 finds Danny having to deal with the villainous Davos (Sacha Dhawan), who also has Iron Fist powers - only his fist glows red, so you know he's the bad guy.

Are you a fan of Iron Fist so far?

Don't be surprised if we see more of Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth this time, especially given her masterful turn in Jessica Jones Season 2.

In the final trailer for Iron Fist season 2, which drops September 7th, he appears to have completed the evolution into the comic-book arch-nemesis Steel Serpent, complete with his own glowing fist that is, of course, red. New additions include Alice Eve who will be playing the Marvel villain Typhoid Mary. And throughout all of [Iron Fist] season 1, he was in no state of mind to put a suit on. "And certainly by the end of The Defenders, it will feel right". If not, does this make you want to give it another shot? The real draw here, though, is the potential for more team-work between Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick) and Misty Knight (Simone Missick).

In the first season of Netflix's Iron Fist, we caught a glimpse of another Iron Fist in a black-and-white reel as he fought soldiers in 1948.
