Pickford wants Europe in Silva's first Everton season

Digne reveals Liverpool double transfer snub

Everton have signed Richarlison from Watford and Barca's Lucas Digne but they need defensive reinforcements following Ashley Williams' loan move to Stoke City and five successive pre-season defeats.

He added: 'Maybe Liverpool fans are so angry against me because I said two times no to Liverpool.

And in quotes appearing in the Liverpool Echo, Digne said: "There is nothing about football, it is just about my parents".

The France global moved to Barcelona in 2016 where he played 46 times and won the double last season with Ernesto Valverde's side.

And in a move which has already endeared him to the blue half of Merseyside, Digne also revealed that he has twice rejected the chance to join Liverpool.

Digne left Barcelona for improved first-team opportunities after being omitted from France's World Cup winning squad, however, he faces competition from Leighton Baines for a starting spot at left-back.

Gates admits crimes with _ and embezzlement from _ Manafort
Gates joined Trump's campaign as deputy campaign manager in June 2016 and continued in other roles after Manafort was ousted. Those admissions are likely to become a focal point for Manafort's defence team when he is cross examined on Tuesday.

"If in every position you have very good players it's hard for the coach. I said two times "no" because I am a Blue", the former Barcelona full-back reiterated.

"Since the first day if I want to put one central defender in the game we don't have any".

If Mina doesn't arrive at Everton - it won't be for a lack of effort on Digne's part.

Everton later announced the signing of 18-year-old goalkeeper Joao Virginia from Arsenal.

"We want to do better".

"I can't explain the feeling but when you speak with a person, you know if it's a good person or not and for me, he's a good person".
