Coles supermarket stores have closed this morning amid a nationwide computer outage, customers have reported.

"This store is now closed due to circumstances beyond our control".

But just after 10am, Coles announced that "all Coles supermarkets are open and trading".

"We apologise for any inconvenience our customers experienced earlier this morning", Coles said in a statement.
