South Pacific hit with 8.2 magnitude natural disaster

A massive natural disaster of magnitude 8.2 has struck in the Pacific Ocean close to Fiji and Tonga but it was very deep and did not trigger a tsunami, the US Geological Survey and US Tsunami Warning Center says.

The quake struck just after midday Sunday and was nearly 560 kilometers deep, the USGS said.

The epicenter was in a remote area near Delamar Mountain Road, north of Big Bear Lake.

In a Twitter video from the scene, a man who is apparently Thug can be seen being led out of the venue in handcuffs. So far no official statement has been released by Young Thug or his team.

No injuries or damage were immediately reported.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre said no tsunami was expected, perhaps considering the quake's depth.

It initially registered as a 7.9-magnitude natural disaster, but since the original alert, the USGS has upgraded the magnitude of the quake to an 8.2.
