Latest reports suggest that KJo has roped in Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh for his period film. It revolves around an epic battle for the throne. An epic battle for the majestic Mughal throne.

The film will have it all- ambition, greed, betrayal, love and love of succession. It will be about the war for love. Her brothers were Dara Shikoh and Aurangzeb.

The film's story itself seems to be magical going by Karan's tweet. "TAKHT is about WAR for LOVE...."

Takht will be produced under Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and it is slated to release in 2020.
