Nintendo seems to be prepping an N64 Classic launch

The PlayStation Classic has finally been announced!

Something to look forward to: Nintendo found incredible success with the NES Classic Edition and SNES Classic Edition, but the company isn't finished with reimagining its old consoles as miniature retro machines. IGN received a statement from a PlayStation spokesperson when inquiring about the prospect of post-release content and was told that the games the console ships with are the only ones planned to be released.

Along those lines, the PlayStation spokesperson confirmed the PS Classic will not have any online functionality or connect to existing PSN accounts.

49ers fear Garoppolo tore ACL vs. Chiefs, MRI on Monday
Non-contact injuries have a history of being long-term problems, but it's still too early to tell. In seven games worth of action last season, the former Iowa quarterback had 1,430 passing yards.

Nintendo also had and has no plans to add games to its Classic consoles as well with the SNES Classic having 21 games and the NES Classic having 30, numbers not far off from Sony's 20 games on the PlayStation Classic. And, sorry trophy hunters, the games included have not been altered to include trophy support.

As for the lineup itself, PlayStation is not yet revealing the other games as of this time. For some, these five titles may be enough to justify the PlayStation Classic's price tag, but it's worth pointing out that 15 more games are on the way. "However, it is important to note that the title list is tailored to each region".

"Power for PlayStation Classic can be supplied using any USB power source meeting the 5V/1.0A requirement, including those that come with smartphones", the spokesperson said. Coming from one of Sony's own studios, it wouldn't be a huge surprise for us to see The Legend of Dragoon make an appearance alongside numerous big-name RPGs that will (hopefully) appear on the Classic.
