Summit in S'pore stabilised regional security: Kim Jong Un

North Korea's Kim Jong Un Says He Will Visit Seoul

President Moon was greeted by thousands of cheering North Koreans today as he arrived in Pyongyang for a crucial summit meeting with Kim Jong-un aimed at reviving the faltering progress towards denuclearisation.

SEOUL/PYONGYANG ― South Korean President Moon Jae-in and his North Korean counterpart Kim Jong-un signed the peace agreement on Wednesday after their closed-door talks at state guesthouse Paekhwawon in Wednesday morning.

But discussions over how to implement the vague commitments have since faltered, with Washington demanding concrete action towards denuclearization by North Korea before agreeing to a key goal of Pyongyang - declaring an end to the 1950-53 Korean War.

Kim personally thanked Moon for making the Trump-Kim meeting happen and expressed hope for "more advanced results" in talks with the United States, without elaborating on how he would define the term.

Moon, himself the offspring of a family displaced by the war, has met Kim twice this year at the border village of Panmunjom.

Prior to his departure from Seoul, the leftist South Korean president told reporters that he hoped the United States and North Korea could resume denuclearization talks in the near future.

Moon said it was "time to bear fruit" and thanked Kim for his hospitality, which included a massive welcome ceremony at Pyongyang International Airport featuring a large, goose-stepping honor guard and a military band.

Ruth Davidson rules out Tory leader role
She said that every time she went back to her university's doctor, her dose was doubled and the situation would only become worse. She added: "What I'm saying is the whole of the United Kingdom would have close regulatory alignment with the European Union ".

South Korean President Moon Jae-in touched down in Pyeongyang on Tuesday for his third inter-Korean summit.

The conflict ended with an armistice, not a peace treaty, leaving USA -led United Nations forces including South Korea technically still at war with the North.

Kim pledged to work toward the "complete denuclearization of the Korean peninsula" during his first encounter with Moon in the Demilitarised Zone that separates the two Koreas in April, and at his summit with Trump in June. "(My) North Korea trip would have great meaning if it could lead to the resumption of North Korea-U.S. dialogue", he said.

He was accompanied by representatives from politics, business and civic groups. They met North Korean Deputy Prime Minister Ri Ryong Nam, who is in charge of economic affairs, although Seoul officials said they did not expect any specific joint economic projects to be agreed given extensive worldwide sanctions.

The institution was sanctioned by the U.N. Security Council a year ago as part of global efforts to rein in Pyongyang's nuclear and missile programs by drying up its revenue sources.

President Trump has mentioned the possibility of a second in-person meeting in the future to discuss an end to North Korea's illegal nuclear weapons program and the White House claimed that Kim sent a letter to Trump requesting such a meeting.
