Trump’s Ex-Lawyer Provides Information In Mueller Probe

NEW YORK NY- AUGUST 21 Michael Cohen President Donald Trump's former personal attorney and fixer exits federal court

Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump's former personal lawyer, has been interviewed repeatedly in the past month by prosecutors in the special counsel investigation into whether the Trump campaign conspired with Russian operatives, according to two people with knowledge of the sessions.

The questioning has focused on potential collusion, sources told ABC News.

Cohen has been one of Trump's closest associates over the past decade and admitted he made illegal campaign contributions in the 2016 presidential election at the behest of Trump.

The news was originally reported by ABC, which said the 52-year-old NY lawyer and businessman "has participated over the last month in multiple interview sessions lasting for hours" with Mueller's team.

When the conversation turned to pardons, Abrams also said Cohen should shed some light on whether Trump obstructed justice by promising clemency to anyone who doesn't tell the truth or cooperate.

The president has continued a very public battle against the Mueller investigation, repeatedly calling it a politically motivated and "rigged witch hunt". Although his plea agreement did not specifically call for cooperation, Cohen had long intimated that he would assist Mueller's inquiry if asked.

Emirates said to be exploring takeover of struggling Etihad
A combination of the airlines would provide further evidence of the sheikdoms consolidating businesses to boost competitiveness. Bringing the airlines together would not be easy because of the duplication of routes from their Dubai and Abu Dhabi bases.

Cohen's lawyer Lanny Davis declined to comment on the ABC report, an aide said.

Former Trump's lawyer cooperation with the special counsel may worsen the relationship between the investigators and the White House that has gone on the offensive and called the probe a "witch hunt".

Cohen, who pleaded guilty to fraud and campaign finance crimes last month, deleted the post within seconds, but not before it spread like wildfire across social media. "If Cohen can help Mueller, prosecutors could recommend a reduced sentence".

According to ABC News, Cohen is also cooperating with investigators in NY who are conducting a probe into the Trump Foundation and the Trump Organization - the president's family charity and business.

Cohen pleaded guilty to charges involving his arrangement of payouts of hush money to those women - widely thought to be porn star Stormy Daniels and Playboy model Karen Mcdougal - just before the November 2016 vote.
