Trump Urged Spain to Build Wall Across Sahara
Donald Trump allegedly raised the idea of building a massive wall across the Sahara Desert in Africa to prevent migrants from getting to Europe.
Spain does not share a border with the Sahara.
Foreign Minister Josep Borrell, a former president of the European Parliament, revealed that Trump told him that a border wall in the desert - like his long promised wall on the Mexican border - would work for Europe as well, The Express reported.
According to Borrell, Trump brushed off concerns about the plan's feasibility, claiming that "the Sahara border can't be bigger than our border with Mexico".
Mr Trump is said to have cited his own project to construct a divide with Mexico, which is yet to get off the ground itself, to stop illegal migrants from crossing the border into the US.
The length of the US-Mexico border is less than 2,000 miles compared to the Sahara that runs for around 3,000 miles.
Think you're unique? Researchers say most people fit one of four personalities
The final cluster, the " reserved " cluster, is full of people who are low in neuroticism but also low in openness . The concept of personality types remains controversial in psychology, with hard scientific proof difficult to find.
Spain has two enclaves - Melilla and Ceuta - on the north African coast.
Since January of this year, 35,000 migrants arrived in Spain, the highest number received by any European Union country.
Spain's politicians have agreed a solution needs to be found to deal with the migration crisis, with Africa's population set to double in the next 20 years.
Spain has now overtaken Italy and Greece as the most popular destination for migrants.
However, if Spain was to build a wall as suggested by Mr Trump, it would be complicated by the fact that it would have to be built on foreign territory. Apparently this isn't the only failed attempt by President Trump to build a wall, however.
