That's less than half of the vacant units in Charleston, South Carolina.

More than a dozen rivers across North Carolina were at major flood stage on Monday or threatening to rise to critical levels.

On Sunday morning, Sunday, Wilmington, N.C., with a heavy assist from Florence, reported receiving 86.79 inches of rain so far this year, breaking a record set in 1877.
