Alexa’s Whisper Mode rolls out to Echo speakers

2018 Ford Eco Sport with Alexa

Back toward the end of September, Amazon held an event where it announced a boat load of new products.

It's been a long time coming, but you can now whisper to your Amazon Echo and Alexa will literally whisper back to you. Users can whisper normal Alexa commands and the smart assistant will whisper right back to you.

Alexa's Whisper mode is now only available in English to users in the United States. And that's going to be really useful when you don't want to disrupt anyone, like when your kid is sleeping. You can also do it from the Alexa app; go to Settings Alexa Account Alexa Voice Responses Whispered Responses. There's no word on when it'll launch in other regions, but hopefully it's something Amazon is working on. Based on some early videos we have seen of the feature in action, you'll probably need to be pretty close to the device to hear her responses.

Hamilton confident young Schumacher will make it to F1
That would put him level with Fangio, with only Michael Schumacher ahead of the pair on seven world championships. Asked whether the Schumacher name would be an asset or a burden, Hamilton doubted it would be the latter.

'If you're in a room where a child has just fallen asleep, and someone else walks in, you might start speaking in a whisper, to indicate that you're trying to keep the room quiet, ' Amazon's Zeynab Raeesy said. Called "whisper mode", the feature finally began to roll out to Echo users in the United States on Friday.

Alternatively, just say "Alexa, turn on whisper mode" to your Echo device.
