Dani Carvajal: I remember Neymar trialling with Real Madrid

Dani Carvajal could leave Real Madrid

Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal reveals that he wants to play in the Premier League before hanging up his boots.

The Brazil global was invited for a trial training session with the club 12 years ago before watching a first-team match from the president's box at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The forward has been tipped to join Madrid for much of the last year after reportedly struggling to settle in France following last year's world-record €222million transfer from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain.

Carvajal is under contract at the Bernabeu until 2022, as part of club president Florentino Perez's policy of keeping regular first-team players tied down long term.

However, Neymar and his family decided that a move to the European giants would have come too early for the talented winger, even though the 13-year-old himself told members of Real's youth team he would stay.

Fernando Alonso's priority is no longer Formula 1
He is keen to take on a new challenge, one which will allow him to compete again for race wins and world championships. Fernando Alonso does not sound like a man who will miss Formula One when he leaves at the end of the season.

According to a UK Mirror report, citing Libero magazine, the 26-year-old right-back, now on the books of Real Madrid, has claimed four Champions League winners' medal at the Santiago Bernabeu alongside Spanish league silverware in 2017.

"I remember Neymar perfectly well in the youth team", Dani Carvajal, who was with the youth team at the time, said, as quoted by Marca.

"I would love to play in the Premier League", he said while responding to a question about his career objectives.

The Brazil global spent four years with Madrid's rivals, helping them win two La Liga titles and the Champions League before moving to PSG last summer for a world-record fee of £198m.
