As mentioned before, it was made clear that Danny Rand and his cohorts could return at some point in the future.

"We're thankful to the fans who have watched these two seasons, and for the partnership we've shared on this series", the statement continued.

Following Netflix's decision to cancel Marvel's Iron Fist after two seasons, series star Finn Jones took to social media to mourn the superhero drama.

'While the series on Netflix has ended, the immortal Iron Fist will live on'.

Five Washington children hospitalized with sudden paralysis
Akron Children's is waiting on lab results of two cases that seem to fit the "clinical picture" of AFM. Most of the eight cases of the illness reported in Texas are in the northern part of the state.

Iron Fist was among the four initial series that Marvel sold to Netflix back in 2013, and it was also one of the most divisive. The joint statement released by Disney and Netflix suggested that the Iron Fist series is done, but the character may live on elsewhere in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Deadline reporter Dominic Patten, however, points out the possibility of Iron Fist finding a new home on the new streaming service that Disney is set to launch next year. While reviews of Iron Fist Season 1 were unfavourable, the ten-episode second season released just over a month ago at the start of September fared slightly better with fans and critics. It was produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios. Or pop up in Marvel's other Netflix shows like Daredevil, Luke Cage, The Punisher and Jessica Jones.

Ultimately, we'll simply have to wait and see what Marvel has in store for the Iron Fist mythos going forward. It was boring and uninteresting, and nearly derailed the Netflix Marvel strand - The Defenders, the big team-up mini-series that should have been the culmination of all the hype, was met with general apathy from audiences.
