#MeToo: Nana Patekar calls Tanushree Dutta’s allegations of sexual harassment ‘motivated, malicious’

Nana Patekar Responds To Film Body Notice Denies Sexual Harassment Allegations

CINTAA had earlier expressed regret for not paying adequate heed to the complaint filed by Tanushree Dutta against Nana Patekar and others in 2008.

After Tanushree Dutta has made a decision to stand up against sexual harassment, it has started a revolution of sorts in the country with the #MeToo movement gaining more and more momentum by the day.

Incidentally, the #MeToo movement spread like wildfire following Dutta's acknowledgment of the 2008 incident involving Patekar, prompting scores of women to come out with their stories of harassment by men in power.

Now the veteran actor has sent out a formal notice against Tanushree Dutta and has called her allegations baseless.

"Neither he (Nana) outraged much less misbehaved with Dutta during the shooting of the said song nor did he interfere with anyone during the shooting", the reply said. Tanushree has also filed a police complaint against Nana and others who she feels were involved in the action.

Royal tour: Harry and Meghan brighten up Bondi Beach
Meghan has always been a huge advocate for yoga, so it's not surprising that she's filling her time with some physical activity. Charlotte Connell, who is 23 weeks pregnant , was at the beach with her son Finn.

Tanushree had alleged that Nana tried to get too close to her for comfort during the filming of a special number in the film Horn Ok Pleassss.

The "Me Too" movement gained momentum in India after Dutta came forward and took a stand against Nata Patekar. He does insane things but I don't think he can do such thing. "#MeToo is serious matter, debate over it on Twitter isn't right", the MNS chief said.

"It seems it is being done to divert attention from petrol price, rupee value, and unemployment".

Raj Thackeray added that women should speak up immediately against the oppression they are facing and should raise their voices as and when it happened and not after 10 years.

The "Dhol" actor had also claimed that MNS party workers were involved in the attack on her vehicle after she opted out of the 2008 film "Horn OK Pleassss" after allegedly being harassed by Patekar. We'll teach a lesson to accused.
