Paula Abdul falls head first off stage at United States gig

Singer Paula Abdul

Fans were audibly shocked after the fall, with one woman screaming after she went down.

Perhaps not seeing the edge, she overstepped and fell over into the crowd.

In fact, the star has had a number of different injuries this past year but neither has stopped her from doing the job she loves and entertaining her audience.

Jamal Khashoggi death: Saudi Arabia say journalist was murdered
A member of the team then dressed in Mr Khashoggi's clothes to make it appear as if he had left the consulate. Turkish officials suspect Khashoggi was killed inside the consulate by the Saudi agents and his body cut up.

"She did not seem hurt at the time of the fall and still finished like a champ", the fan who posted the video, known as Lolli 312, told PEOPLE of the incident. In 2009, the singer revealed she had been hooked on prescription painkillers for over 12 years due to chronic pain from her years as a dancer.

Footage has surfaced of Paula performing her 80's hit "Promise Of A New Day" before taking a tumble off the front of the stage. Hopefully, she'll be more careful the rest of the tour - the fall could have been so much worse!

"It was just a real warm welcome and [it reminded me] of how it felt like when I was on the road constantly years and years ago", she shared.

The former So You Think You Can Dance Australia judge is in the midst of her Straight Up Paula! tour, her first solo tour in 25 years, performing hits from across her '80s and '90s pop peak. The song continued to play as Abdul cried out for the audience to sing along with her, apparently unashamed that she was lip syncing to backing track.
