President Donald Trump: Beto O'Rourke "is a flake"

Global News YouTube

The President was among those watching the second debate between Cruz and Democrat Beto O'Rourke. "I appreciated the President's tweet this morning".

The much talked about Senate race in Texas is getting a bit more hostile.

When asked to say something nice about his opponent, O'Rourke focused on Cruz's love for his family, and his genuine ambition to serve and do good by his country. "So I think that was probably a conscious decision".

That follows O'Rourke borrowing a Trump nickname for Cruz from when the two were 2016 Republican presidential rivals, calling the senator "Lyin' Ted" during a debate Tuesday night in San Antonio. O'Rourke did get personal there as polls suggest his momentum has stalled with a seven to nine-point gap behind Cruz.

O'Rourke is attacking Cruz more aggressively.

Blank said the campaign and election calendar have entered the final phase.

O'Rourke released a trio of new ads now blitzing the Texas airwaves.

Despite a huge advantage in donor dollars, Rep. Beto O'Rourke, D-Texas, is trailing incumbent Sen.
