Robert De Niro urges Americans to vote after bomb plot

Robert De Niro is calling on people to vote in light of the series of bombs addressed to critics of President Donald Trump. On Friday, he took used the attacks to send a message.

De Niro called on people to vote in the statement released on Friday through his publicist.

An envelope with a pipe-and-wires bomb was sent to his Tribeca Studios this week.

George Soros, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Eric Holder, Joe Biden, CNN's Manhattan office, Maxine Waters, Joe Biden, John Brennan, James Clapper, and Cory Booker all received similar devices.

De Niro says he is thankful no one was hurt.

De Niro is among at least 12 prominent figures targeted with suspicious devices resembling bombs over the past few days.

Following the package-bomb reports, President Trump spoke out against the act of domestic terror, tweeting, "The safety of the American People is my highest priority".

United States law enforcement are engaged in a frantic search for the person or persons who sent explosive devices in the mail to De Niro and other people.

Over the past year, De Niro has slammed Trump as a "mad man" and a "low life", and he famously cursed at the president while on stage at the Tony Awards in June.
