Saudi Arabia May Admit Killing Khashoggi?

US media reported on Monday that the kingdom is considering an admission that Mr Khashoggi died after an interrogation that went wrong

"We went inside all the rooms, without any exceptions".

"He said that they are working closely with Turkey to find answer".

According to the source, the investigators took hammers to some walls and flooring to explore behind them.

Reports suggest an assault and struggle took place in the consulate after Mr Khashoggi went to get paperwork for his forthcoming marriage.

There was also disagreement over whether investigators would be allowed into the consulate-general's house.

The Turkish crime investigation team of around 10 people left the consulate around 5am on Tuesday.

Pompeo was in the air when a Turkish police forensics team wrapped up its hourslong search of the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul early Tuesday morning.

The sources said the interrogation was meant to lead to his enforced return to Saudi Arabia.

Speaking on Tuesday after Turkish police entered the consulate for the first time and searched the premises for nine hours, Erdogan also told reporters that they were looking into toxic materials at the mission. However, they have not presented any evidence to corroborate their claim and say that video cameras at the consulate were not recording at the time.

Pompeo's talks with three officials, including the king and crown prince, were "direct and frank" about the need to investigate what happened to Khashoggi, said State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert.

The chief executive of Clariant, which has Saudi Basic Industries Corp (SABIC) as its anchor shareholder, said rising tensions about Khashoggi could hit the Swiss speciality chemicals maker.

Khashoggi moved to Washington past year fearing retribution for his criticism of Prince Mohammed, who has cracked down on dissent with arrests.

In a related development, amidst growing pressure on White House from several law makers for cancelling the arms deal concluded by Donald Trump in may last, the US Secretary of State's has arrived in Riyadh on Tuesday followed a 20-minute phone call between King Salman and US President Donald Trump on Monday. America's top diplomat later met with MBS, too.

Following the telephonic talks between US President Donlad Trump and Saudi Arabia's King Salman, Mike Pompeo, the Secretary of State has landed in Riyadh.

A high-level Turkish official said police have found "certain evidence" during their search of the Saudi consulate in Istanbul showing that Saudi writer Jamal Khashoggi was killed there.

In Saudi Arabia, the local news media in recent days has played up the positive elements of the case for the kingdom, including "congratulations" for Riyadh's offer to cooperate in a joint investigation with Turkey.

On Monday, before the investigators moved in, professional cleaners were seen entering the consulate through the front door. Some reports have indicated the Saudi regime may soon acknowledge that Khashoggi died in an interrogation gone wrong.

Mr Khashoggi, a critic of the Saudi government who has written for the Washington Post, was last seen walking into the consulate on 2 October. "We are grateful to all those who have respected our privacy during these hard times".
