The 2019 Met Gala has a surprising organising committee and theme

Harry Styles Lady Gaga and Serena Williams

"Fashion and the Catholic Imagination" exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute hasn't yet closed, but there's already a new Met Gala theme to look forward to.

And the event, which is held on the first Monday in May every year, will be hosted by Harry Styles, Serena Williams and Lady Gaga.

It is run by Wintour, editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine, whose influence is such that the space dedicated to the Costume Institute since 2014 has been called the Anna Wintour Costume Center. Might Rihanna (who embraced this year's Catholicism theme so wholeheartedly in full "sexy pope" get-up, complete with mitre) arrive in a pomp-filled tribute to a camp figurehead - Marlene Dietrich, or Judy Garland, or Cher, or Elton John?

Kids Who Use Hand Sanitizer Miss Fewer Days of Day Care
As we know, children of this age group are likely to spread germs when they deal with runny noses, sore throats, and coughing. The hand sanitizer group missed 3.25% of days of day care, followed by the soap and water group, which missed 3.9% of days.

The theme of the 6 May, 2019 Gala will be camp style, as defined by U.S. writer Susan Sontag.

The museum's exhibition (and the gala that precedes it) "will explore the origins of the camp aesthetic and how it has evolved from a place of marginality to become an important influence on mainstream culture", the Met said in a press release.

According to the New York Times, the theme is inspired by Susan Sontag's 1964 essay, "Notes on "Camp"," which defiens camp as "love of the unnatural: of artifices and exaggeration".
