Cell phone radiation linked to cancer

Cellphone Radiation Causes Cancer in Rats, Government Study Finds

"In our studies, rats and mice received radio frequency radiation (RFR) across their whole bodies". The findings are unlikely to satisfy many people.

And, "the exposures used in the studies can not be compared directly to the exposure that humans experience when using a cellphone", NTP senior scientist John Bucher noted in an NIEHS news release.

The rodents in the studies were exposed to radiation nine hours a day for two years - far longer even than heavy users of mobiles.

Research has found that high exposure to 2G and 3G cell phone radiation is linked to cancer....

"After reviewing the [NTP] study, we disagree, however, with the conclusions of their final report regarding "clear evidence" of carcinogenic activity in rodents exposed to radiofrequency energy", he said in an agency statement.

Still, the researchers said their findings question the long-held assumption that the radio-frequency radiation used by cellphones poses no health concern.

Although the tests were done on rodents at levels much higher than humans are now exposed to there was a clear link with male rats.

In should also be noted that the types of RFR used for Wi-Fi or 5G networks were not included in this investigation.

"5G is an emerging technology that hasn't really been defined yet".

Magaya apologises for 'rushed' HIV/Aids 'cure' claims
World Health Organization representative in the country, Dr Alex Gasaira , explicity said " there is no cure for HIV infection ". Having carried the research from outside the country, I went on to announce the results unprocedurally.

Moreover, he said, "exposure levels and durations in our studies were greater than what people experience".

"Exposure to radiofrequency radiation has always been thought to be of no health concern as long as the energy level was low and didn't cause heating of the tissues", Bucher said. "The lowest energy level of the radiofrequency radiation we studied was similar to the highest level now permitted for cell phone emissions". This may be because the male rats exposed to radiation were less likely to develop chronic kidney problems, which are a common cause of death among older rats, the researchers said.

One of the strengths of the studies was that scientists could control how much radiation the rats and mice were getting, which isn't possible when studying how humans use cell phones, Wyde said.

"We do believe that the tumor responses that we have seen in our studies is real and they are associated with radiofrequency radiation", Bucher said.

"When new studies or information becomes available, the FDA conducts thorough evaluations of the data to continually inform our thinking", said Dr. Jeffrey Shuren, director of the FDA's Center for Devices and Radiological Health. We believe the existing safety limits for cell phones remain acceptable for protecting the public health'. This early generation of cellphone technology was used mainly in the 1990s.

The final reports represent the consensus of NTP and a panel of external scientific experts who reviewed the studies in March after draft reports were issued in February.

According to Dr. Jeffrey Shuren, the U.S. FDA's director for Devices and Radiological Health, such animal studies are important in the discussion, but it was not created to test the safety of cellphones in humans and could therefore not be used to draw conclusions for humans. These include holding phones away from your body and using earbuds or other means to communicate without holding the phone against your body.

'These findings should not be applied to human cell phone usage, ' it said.
