The unsend option will allow Messenger users to delete sent messages from their own inbox as well as their recipient's inbox.

WhatsApp lets you do it - if you've sent a message by mistake, you've got a window of time within which you can delete it. Said something embarrassing? Don't worry, you can unsend that Facebook message, but you better be fast!

While the update wasn't publicly announced, digital media expert Matt Navarra discovered Facebook's plans far down in the release notes for version 191.0 of Messenger's iOS client.

PUBG PS4 Release Could Happen as Early as December, Reports Suggest
The developer plans for nine regions to compete through three phases during 2019, with two third-party run global competitions. Featuring universal rules and point scoring, teams of four will battle it out across Miramar and Erangel in first-person mode.

Yet users will need to be quick as Facebook are giving those wanting to retrieve their messages just 10 minutes to do so. The users who had their mailboxes scrubbed of Zuckerberg's texts weren't even informed of the removal.

It is going to introduce an "unsend" feature in an update to Messenger.

Compared to Facebook other messaging application, you'll actually have significantly less time to delete a sent message in Facebook's flagship Messenger app. WhatsApp users are now afforded just over one hour to remove a message from both users' inbox. But we do know the feature has been in the works since back in April, having been first spotted in testing last month. Facebook's unsend for both its messaging apps will actually deliver the message when you hit send.
