Journo group slams White House suspension of CNN reporter

Trump blows up at Jim Acosta

"Here we go", Trump said to Acosta.

In a statement, press secretary Sarah Sanders took aim at Jim Acosta for "placing his hands on a young woman just trying to do her job as a White House intern".

"This conduct is absolutely unacceptable".

"It is also completely disrespectful to the reporter's colleagues not to allow them an opportunity to ask a question", Sanders stated.

John Legend criticized President Trump on Twitter Wednesday.

The press conference, which initially focused on simple political topics, quickly descended into chaos after Trump was asked about his politics and the controversial issue of Russian Federation meddling in the US's 2016 presidential election (the same election that put Trump in the White Hosue).

"That's enough", the president repeated several times.

"The White House is suspending the hard pass of the reporter involved until further notice", said White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders hours later, referring to Acosta, who then tweeted that he had been denied White House entry.

Acosta called the claim a "lie".

During the heated exchange, the US President accused the CNN reporter of being the "enemy of the people". You are not my enemy.

Have Liverpool lost their bite in midfield at the moment?
They conceded a goal from a corner and another from a loss of possession and quick counter-attack against Red Star . And it has ultimately left Liverpool with real work to do in their final games away to PSG and at home to Napoli.

Other reporters immediately pushed back on the allegation, noting with photographic and video evidence that at no point did Acosta "place his hands on a young woman".

"This unprecedented decision is a threat to our democracy and the country deserves better", the company continued. "Jim Acosta has our full support". "You are rude, bad person", he yelled.

The reporter challenged Mr Trump on his characterisation of the South American migrant caravan as an "invasion".

At a combative, lengthy news conference Wednesday, U.S. President Donald Trump congratulated himself for achieving what he termed a "tremendous success" in the previous day's midterm elections. Those were reporters working with CNN, NBC, other networks.

Mr Trump replied: "I consider it an invasion".

But that question that I posed today was very timely, because just today, Patrick Casey, a leader of Identity Evropa, which is - which the Southern Poverty Law Center says is part of the alt-right and white nationalist movement, tweeted that he was at the White House today.

The president then tried to move onto another reporter as Acosta began to ask him about the Russian Federation investigation. I think they're trying to shut us down.

The interaction between Mr Acosta and the intern was brief, and Mr Acosta appeared to brush her arm as she reached for the microphone and he tried to hold on to it. "Pardon me, ma'am", he told her. "You should not be working for CNN".

"That's such a racist question", said Trump, who has made accusations of unfair coverage from the media a staple on the campaign trail.

When Acosta asked about the "Russia investigation", Trump said, "It's a hoax".
