LaMelo Ball wants to play for a ‘top college program'

The state of OH moved on quickly from LeBron James.

Within a day of his announcement, digital sports content producer Overtime erected a billboard on I90 in the 17-year-old Ball's honor - but it looks familiar.

LaMelo Ball still wants to play college basketball.

His youngest son LaMelo is in OH where he'll start at the SPIRE Institute, and of course the comparisons to a certain other high school star from OH started getting flung around.

Global oil prices fall as supply rises and demand growth slows
China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC) said on Friday that it was still taking oil from Iranian fields in which it has stakes. The U.S. crude contract had hit a low of $59.26, down $1.41 and off more than 20 percent since its peak in October.

LaMelo is famous for his father pulling him out of high school, touring him around Europe to play in his own league, and then suddenly announcing that he's returning to high school. Overtime has covered LaMelo throughout his career, generating millions of views for videos of him.

Ball is expected to make his OH high school debut in the next few days. He's enrolling in Spire Academy and already making headlines.

Jermaine Jackson, who will be Ball's coach at the SPIRE Institute just outside of Cleveland, said he has high hopes for his new guard. Ball said Friday he is still hoping to join a top collegiate program when he finishes high school.

LaVar also told the media he thinks LaMelo is the most famous high school basketball player of all time - even more famous than Bron was - because James was virtually unknown overseas.
