Rihanna not happy with her song played at Trumps ‘Tragic rallies

Rihanna Glad to Learn Trump Plays Her Music At His Rallies, So She Can Shut That Down Immediately

Rihanna and Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose are the latest artists to criticise Donald Trump for the unauthorised use of their music at his rallies in the runup to the U.S. mid-term elections on Tuesday.

The singer replied to a tweet from Washington Post journalist, Philip Rucker, who described Rihanna's Don't Stop The Music blaring out at a Republican political event in Chattanooga.

Rihanna called Mr Trump's rallies "tragic" and said he would not be using her music "for much longer".

She shared an Instagram post in which she wrote, "You have the opportunity to make history this election".

Jamal Murray, Nuggets React To Guard Heaving Late 3-Pointer Vs. Celtics
With the game all but over, Murray heaved up a last-second long ball in an attempt to have his first 50-point game of his career. He chose to launch a late triple for one last shot at 50 points - a move that didn't sit well with Celtics guard Kyrie Irving.

According to Rolling Stone, the entertainer, 30, reportedly issued a cease and desist to the Trump White House on Monday (November 5).

The pop star, 30, made clear she's not happy that Trump is playing her music at his political rallies and plans to put a stop to it.

The Guns N' Roses frontman also said the band had formally requested that its music not be used at Trump rallies or Trump-associated events.

At this point, it looks like it's going to get to a stage where no artists are going to let Donald Trump play their music at his rallies. If a politician wants to use a song as background music at a rally, their campaign needs to get a public performance license from the copyright holder of the musical composition, not one from the recording artist. Pharrell recently took similar action after he learned that Trump played his song, "Happy", at a rally following the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting.

Please do stop the music, Donald - you've been told by Rihanna. The answer lies in the intricate thicket of licensing and copyright law, which in the past has given political campaigns a lot of leeway to choose whatever songs they like.
