Rocker Morrissey Attacked Onstage During San Diego Concert

Morrissey was hit during a live stage performance over the weekend

From the video below, you can see many people stormed Morrissey was he was finishing up his final song. One person was able to get by and delivers a blow to Morrissey while he's trying to continue the performance.

After video footage of the commonplace onstage event surfaced online, however, various sites such as TMZ published stories with headlines stating "Morrissey Attacked On Stage" - coverage that Moz's team is now criticizing through the singer's social media. Although the singer did not return to complete the show his manager has released a statement playing down the incident.

Bansal stepped down from the company with immediate effect and Kalyan Krishnamurthy will continue to serve as the CEO. It remains unclear whether Bansal will remain on Flipkart's board and retain his 5-6% stake in the company.

As has happened for countless years, a group of fans at the Morrissey gig at San Diego tried everything they could to get one touch of the man, which included rushing the stage. Katsis disputes claims that Morrissey was attacked by a fan, saying "Morrissey's fans are not malicious". That's all it was.

According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, police in the area had no record of any calls coming from the Symphony Hall Saturday night.

Katsis also said in his statement that no one was arrested for the stage surge, and the singer is fit and well. Morrissey is now on an American tour and has made several stops in California.
