Rockets Part Ways With Carmelo Anthony

Kevin Durant's journey as member of the Warriors has hit a bump in the road

On Tuesday, an ESPN report stated that several players were unhappy with center Deandre Jordan for his "selfish" play.

There are no immediate plans to place Anthony on waivers and he will remain on the roster, but not rejoin the team. Anthony, who has missed Houston's last three games due to "illness" will likely be waived.

General manager Daryl Morey issued a statement explaining how the team came to this decision.

The New York Times' Marc Stein followed up on that on Sunday by saying Anthony had most likely played his last game with the Rockets. "Carmelo had a tremendous approach during his time with the Rockets and accepted every role head coach Mike D'Antoni gave him".

Facebook Hired Firm to Smear Critics
A company blog post succinctly titled " New York Times Update" itemizes five specific areas where it sees inaccuracies. Facebook's labeling of Soros as the boogeyman was not a random decision.

Anthony has a December 15 trade restriction because he was signed this summer.

Anthony, 34, who signed a one-year, $2.4 million deal with the Rockets this summer, has struggled in 10 games with the team averaging 13.4 points on 40% shooting along with 5.4 rebounds per game.

In the 2018 NBA Draft, the Atlanta Hawks traded back two spots, acquiring a first-round pick while swapping their third pick for the Dallas Mavericks' fifth pick. Houston signed Anthony for the veteran's minimum this offseason after he was traded from Oklahoma City and bought out by Atlanta.

Anthony has a couple of ties to the Miami Heat. He is one of 11 players in National Basketball Association history with career averages of at least 24.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists. It didn't go as anyone hoped - Houston is 6-7 - and now, it appears it's all over.
