Sabrina makers Netflix and Warner Bros sued by Satanic Temple over statue

Netflix

Some Satanic news now, with the latest update in the ongoing lawsuit that has been filed against Netflix over their new show, 'Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina'.

The Satanic Temple sued Netflix and Warner Bros Entertainment on Thursday, seeking more than $50 million for their alleged unauthorised use of a statue of the goat-headed deity Baphomet in the series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

In 2015, the Satanic Temple pushed to install a bronze statue of Baphomet - hooves, horns and all - to counter a Ten Commandments display at the Oklahoma Capitol (the state Supreme Court later outlawed the Ten Commandments display from appearing there).

Netflix and Warner Bros allegedly copied the group's statue of the goat deity Baphomet in the programme.

The suit, which names both Netflix and the show's production company, Warner Bros., as defendants, was filed in NY federal court on Thursday.

Founded in 2012, the Satanic Temple ensures the separation of church and state and holds Satan as a symbol of "opposition to arbitrary authority".

Redick scored 10 points, his 21st consecutive double-figure game dating to March 26, 2018. IN is now 5-2 against the Eastern Conference and 3-1 against Atlantic Division opponents.

Its main character is a half-witch, half-human teenager portrayed by Kiernan Shipka, who played lead character Don Draper's daughter Sally in the AMC series "Mad Men".

In documents obtained by The Blast, the Temple claims the "Defendants misappropriated the TST Baphomet Children in ways implying that the monument stands for evil".

In the series Sabrina Spellman attends The Academy of Unseen Arts where there is a statue of Baphomet.

It has since ended up in Detroit, and has become "a central icon" for satanists, TST co-founder Lucien Greaves told CNBC.

When contacted for comment, Netflix referred the request to Warner Bros, however Warner Bros spokesman Paul McGuire said the company does not discuss pending litigation.
