Warren Gatland: 'Strong' bench can help Wales against Australia

Kurtley Beale relishes trips to Cardiff

Australia haven't lost in 13 encounters to the Welsh - dating back to 2008 when the principality won a thrilling contest 21-18 in Cardiff.

"The good thing about last week (against Scotland) was that we were under a lot of pressure at times and we showed composure when we needed to, so hopefully that transfers to this weekend".

Lock Adam Coleman has recovered from the groin problem that forced him out of the 37-20 defeat by New Zealand in Yokohama and is restored to the team ahead of Rob Simmons.

"The way the game is played these days, the breakdown is a big part of it. Attacks are trying to get quick ball into risky attacking players' hands, and defences are looking to either turn it over or slow it down".

Wallabies back Kurtley Beale looks forward to a tough, physical game against Wales in Cardiff.

"Throughout the year there has been some inconsistency with our defence and attack and we are always striving for that 80 minute performance". It is a great opportunity for us.

"They had a great result last week and will be on their feet ready to bounce and excited by the challenge".

Six straight wins have catapulted the Welsh to third in the world rankings - three spots above the Wallabies - and Gatland said his players are desperate to end that unwanted record before the side's meet again in Tokyo at next year's World Cup. "I am not coming for anything less than that".

His mother is understandably as devastated as she is livid. "We thank everyone for your prayers and ask for privacy at this time". She was an honors student in high school and played soccer and tennis. "Our hearts are broken".

Ashley-Cooper will become only the second Australian to play in four World Cups, behind George Gregan, if he makes the cut for Cheika's squad next year.

Despite Ashley-Coopers vast experience, playing over 100 tests for his country, Waugh believes the transition from Japan to test Rugby will be tough, "I think it would be very hard to go from the Top League in Japan out into Millennium Stadium and into Twickenham, it would be pretty hard".

"I'm quite proud of how this team's performed", he said.

"We have got to be getting better quality ball to our halfbacks", Pocock said at the team's training base at the plush Celtic Manor resort in Newport, venue of the 2010 Ryder Cup.

"He is a player for the future who has got some real skills. All the scars we collect, whether it is this game or the one after that or the 15 left until the World Cup final, will help us".

Last weekend in Japan the All Blacks dealt comfortably with the Wallabies at set-pieces and Pocock is fully aware that they will need to be at their best against European opponents.

"The closer you get to Australia, the further you feel away". It is a position that is very strong for Wales.
