White House aide’s job in jeopardy after Melania Trump issues scathing statement

Trump is preparing to remove Kirstjen Nielsen as Homeland Security secretary aides say

Ricardel reportedly battled with the first lady's staff during her trip to Africa last month, and was believed to be the source of negative stories about Melania Trump, according to the Journal, which cited unnamed sources.

Mrs Trump issued a statement Tuesday calling for National Security Council adviser Mira Ricardel to be fired after clashes over Air Force One seats for the first lady's staff during last month's trip to Africa.

He reportedly told Kelly to give the first lady whatever she wanted, adding: 'I don't need this shit'. In what was probably the highest-profile such incident, President Ronald Reagan ousted his chief of staff Donald Regan in 1987 after he crossed Nancy Reagan.

Ms Ricardel could not be reached for comment.

Jonathan Ernst / Reuters John Bolton named Mira Ricardel as his deputy in April.

Ricardel previously worked for former President George W. Bush and was hired by Bolton in March to be his deputy.

On Tuesday, first lady Melania Trump publicly called for the ouster of a senior member of her husband's administration. It was not immediately clear when she would officially make her exit.

Golden State Warriors selling monthly venue tickets without court view
It is believed this is the first time a team has offered fans a ticket merely to get into the building without viewing access. The "In The Building Pass" does not get you a seat and doesn't even get you a standing room only view of the court.

Sources tell ABC News that Trump is looking to oust both Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and chief of staff John Kelly.

The Post notes that Trump has reportedly already begun considering several candidates to replace Nielsen and could replace her with Kevin McAleenan, the commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection; David P. Pekoske, administrator of the Transportation Security Administration and a former vice commandant of the Coast Guard; or Kris Kobach, Kansas' secretary of state who has hard-line views on immigration.

Colleagues who've worked closely with Nielsen and defend her performance at DHS say working for Trump on immigration issues is miserable because the president has an unrealistic view of border security and little patience for the intricacies of USA immigration law. Her department reported that 51,000 migrants were apprehended after crossing the border illegally in October, including more than 23,000 who were part of families.

Her departure would leave national security adviser John Bolton without one of his key allies in the administration, a deputy who has also shared his penchant for bureaucratic infighting.

Reports surfaced late on Monday that Trump was preparing to remove Nielsen, a close ally of Kelly's with whom the president has grown frustrated over immigration enforcement.

Pence aides have dismissed those rumors.
