The St. Louis Cardinals have struck gold in their search for a big hitter, getting All-Star first baseman Paul Goldschmidt from the Arizona Diamondbacks in a multiplayer trade. Nightengale also revealed the Cardinals might be willing to trade for Goldschmidt without him signing a long-term contract with the team prior to his arrival.
