The Salvation Army is warning residents after getting reports of two people going door-to-door and soliciting donations in Garden City.

The suspects snatched the kettle Tuesday afternoon at the Cub Foods in the Northtown Mall.

"But whoever the donor is, we want them to know we are truly grateful for this donation, and for the lives that will be helped as a result", he said. "We have to be out where people can give to us, so if we don't have enough volunteers, we are not out", said Maj. Why would someone do this to people?
