Alexis Sanchez absent from Man United squad ahead of Tottenham game

Interim manager Solskjaer invited Ferguson to the training ground to speak to the players as he bids to turn around fortunes at Old Trafford.

Tottenham boss Pochettino is the No.1 priority but Daniel Levy is not prepared to let him go easily.

"But what I do expect is to see chances and goals at both ends in what promises to be a cracking game and a true barometer of where this new United are in relation to the other elite Premier League sides".

"I was so lucky with [Spurs assistant manager] Jesus [Perez] to share with him a very nice lunch in London [in 2016]".

Ferguson is believed to be playing a bigger role at United since Jose Mourinho's departure and will have a big say in who is appointed the next permanent manager.

"And I think he was the best manager in the world, in the history of football".

"I remember it was a treasure for me when my dad and my mum made a present to me at Christmas of Larousse, it was a book where you can find everything". And to have the possibility to see him every day is massive.

Huawei employee arrested over alleged spying
He also said no further details would be released now about the case because it is classified and the investigation is ongoing. Last month, a senior European Union official warned that the bloc should be "worried" about Huawei and other Chinese firms.

United dominated Spurs during Ferguson's days in charge and one of his pre-match team talks has gone down in football folklore.

Sixth in the standings ahead of the weekend's action, resurgent United are 10 points behind us and victory against them at the national stadium would stretch that gap even further.

"I don't know what happened in the past but games like Tuesday's semi-final against Chelsea please me a lot".

"I just think that they've got a team that haven't won anything, they aren't used to winning anything".

But former Man United player Michael Owen feels that Pochettino's men will come out victorious once again.

"You have to give him credit because when he came here 16 years ago Tottenham was a completely different club".
