Amazon unveils ad-supported IMDb video streaming service

IMDB Freedive

Unlike some services though, this one's free (thanks to the ads!) to stream.

Now, that service is officially open for business in the United States - dubbed IMDb Freedive, the video-on-demand offering currently provides users with around 130 movies and 29 TV shows to stream for free, as reported by Variety.

IMDb called the new video service Freedive. The ad-supported service is available from today in the United States on the web, and via Amazon's Fire TV devices. "We will continue to enhance IMDb Freedive based on customer feedback and will soon make it available more widely, including on IMDb's leading mobile apps".

Older movies like The Illusionist, Memento, and The Last Samurai are now available to watch on the service. Along with popular movies like The Last Samurai, Short Circuit, Last Action Hero, and more.

IMDb Freedive is available beginning today at http://www.imdb.com/freedive, on IMDb's website via laptop or personal computer and on Fire TV devices. You can also view IMDb originals through the service.
