The Delhi High Court Monday refused to restrain Google and YouTube from airing trailer of "The Accidental Prime Minister", saying that the issue relates to someone which involves "public interest" and not "personal interest". It stars Anupam Kher as Manmohan Singh, the economist and politician who served as the Prime Minister of India from 2004 to 2014 under the United Progressive Alliance. The film has been directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte and written by Mayank Tewari.

As per a report of The Hindu, the Kanti police has been ordered to lodge an FIR against Akshaye Khanna, Anupam Kher and 15 others, including the producer and director of the movie, while hearing a plea of an advocate who claimed that the film has portrayed the former PM and other public figures in bad light. The film also features Akshaye Khanna, Suzanne Bernert, Aahana Kumra and Arjun Mathur to name a few. Stick to this space for the full review.
