Claim From Spain: Chelsea Handed Four Offers For Alvaro Morata

Chelsea news Alvaro Morata

On Wednesday sources told ESPN FC that Morata's agent travelled to London to meet with Chelsea officials and discuss a loan move away from Stamford Bridge, and Sevilla sporting director Joaquin Caparros claimed his club were the frontrunners after meeting with the striker's representative.

Morata has only started 11 of Chelsea FC's 21 Premier League games so far this season and has only managed to net five times in the English top flight.

Morata has endured a hard spell in England since leaving Real Madrid 18 months ago, with his two goals against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup his first strikes since a brace against Crystal Palace at the start of November.

And Simeone kept quiet on the talk that they could offer him an escape route in this window.

"The only thing I'm thinking about is the upcoming match against Levante", he said. That apparently first yielded an agreement with Sevilla, and then also with Atletico Madrid after meeting with Diego Simeone.

"Some players want more minutes, some could be sold by the club, some could arrive. We need to wait until January 31", he is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.

Morata has repeatedly been linked with an exit in recent weeks, while Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri recently declared his eagerness for the club to sign a striker.

'The player may want to come here over other options, but it is very complicated.
