Craig McLachlan: Actor charged with assault and sex offences

Known for playing Henry Ramsey in the soap in the 80s, the 53-year old has now been charged with the crimes by police in Victoria.

That same month, McLachlan was ousted from The Rocky Horrow Show with producers The Gordon Frost Organisation announcing it is "not appropriate" for him to continue in light of the sexual assault and harassment allegations against him.

Australian actor Craig McLachlan has been charged with a series of assault offences by Victoria Police.

Craig was charged on summons to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on February 8.

After appearing in a number of TV projects, he returned to Australia to work on the Doctor Blake Mysteries, a period drama set in Ballarat.

Whelan Browne said that while performing a sex scene with McLachlan he inappropriately touched her while on stage.

He said: "Frankly, they seem to be simple inventions, perhaps made for financial reasons, perhaps to gain notoriety".
