Egg beats out Kylie Jenner for most liked Instagram photo

Instagram's most-liked post is going to be an egg, sorry Kylie Jenner

A social media campaign has pulled off a real coup on Instagram. The hashtags #LikeTheEgg, #EggSoldiers and #EggGang worked, as in just ten days the post started getting around 20,000 likes per minute, providing no chance for Jenner's supporters to regroup and keep the top spot for Jenner's first photo of her daughter taken back in February 2018.

The photo, which was posted on January 5 by the account world_record_egg, has garnered over 20.8 million likes, surpassing the previous record-holder, Kylie Jenner, whose post only had 18 million likes.

Kylie Jenner's impressive Instagram record has been snatched away...by an inanimate object: an egg!

The user explained to the online news portal that they made a decision to beat the world record just as a challenge but had nothing personal against Kylie Jenner. "We're making history", added another.

Leishman fifth as Kuchar leads in Hawaii
But he had a good session with his swing coach in Dallas, and it paid off two weeks later on the Gulf side of the Mexican coast. Also tied for fifth were Charles Howell III and 54-year-old Davis Love III , who had one of his better putting rounds.

After breaking the record, the mysterious Instagram account shared a message to their egg-cited fans on their story. "YOU DID IT EGG!" cheered another.

While it is relatively unclear as to who hatched this idea to beat Kylie Jenner's record, BuzzFeed News reached out to the account only to receive a reply revealing that it is being run by a chicken named "Henrietta", who laid the egg.

Egg Gang did not immediately respond to a request for comment. It's definitely one of 2019's most freakish moments.
