Katie Taylor To Fight Rose Volante In Unification Bout In March

"I'm over the moon to confirm contracts are signed for Katie Taylor to unify against WBO champ Rose Volante on our big Paddy's Day weekend show in Philly in March", Hearn wrote on social media when announcing that the deal for the long-awaited clash was done.

More details about the card are due to be announced soon.

In reply, Katie - who is now enjoying a break in Ireland - simply said: "Let's go".

Speaking after the fight, the Olympic Gold medalist said that her "goal" for 2019 was to become the undisputed lightweight champion of the world and she'll have the chance to add another world title to her collection that when she faces Volante on March 16 in Philadelphia.
